Problem with DestroyTwitter 2.x and Nortin Internet Security?

I installed the newest version of DestroyTwitter (2.1.1) on my Win7 laptop, but Norton's NIS is reporting that it is unsafe and refuses to let it run without me creating an exception for it. What is the story here?

    A few other users have experienced this. I assure you, DestroyTwitter
    doesn't do anything besides write the preference and database files to its
    local storage.
