IMPORTANT: Error updating from 1.7 to 2.0
As stated earlier today, 1.7 users are forced to update to 2.0 because of Twitter pulling the plug on Basic Auth (used in 1.7). Updating from 1.7 to 2.0 shouldn't be an issue at all, but unfortunately, the security certificate used to sign 1.7 expired months ago. Anyone who tries to update will receive the attached dialogue, stating: "Sorry, an error has occurred. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance." Because of this, 1.7 users must download 2.0 from the website or by clicking this link: http://destroytoday.com/destroytwitter/releases/stable/DestroyTwitt...
I apologize for the awful user experience. Once you have 2.0 installed, updates will be seamless.

Unless you're on an older computer that won't support an AIR update. Dammit.

Not Good - I download the zip file given above and it is not obvious what one is supposed to do with it. I expected to find some exe that would go and install the new over the old.
This is poor stuff

well i understand your pain. but adobe air has become pretty common these days. especially for folks who are on twitter. and you can tell that .air files are powered by adobe air and they are not Windows executable files.
